Victoria-We enter foreign land

On the last evening of our cruise we stopped in Victoria, BC in Canada. It is a beautiful town that I visited when I was young, but Aaron had never been to. We just walked around and saw the sights. We even got a stamp in our passport as we were leaving! That was just a little too exciting.

Ketchikan-Finally we go Fishing

So Ketchikan is the salmon fishing capitol of the world. Due mostly to all of their rain. Unfortunately, it hadn't rained there for about 4 days when we went on our fishing trip. Did I mention we had awesome weather on our cruise? We did not catch any salmon, but we did catch 3 rockfish and 1 small halibut. It was a lot of fun. Aaron could have fished all day. I'm glad I brought a book. :) My Dad would have loved it and I thought of him most of the day.

Another Full Day at Sea-Tracy Arm Fjords

We were on the ship the whole day on May, 28th. We cruised through the Tracy Arm Fjords, which was beautiful with lots of ice chunks floating in the water. The weather was awesome our entire cruise! Which caused even more ice chunks to fall into the water, so we didn't get to see the big glaciers in Tracy Arm because our cruise ship had to turn around less than halfway through. It was a fun and relaxing day of eating, napping, eating, and did I mention eating?

Day Four-Skagway

The fourth day on our cruise was by far the best day! After over 48 hours of complaining about the loud banging noises in our stateroom, we were finally moved to another room-a room with a balcony! So we got a good night's sleep before the day began. In Ketchikan, we splurged bigtime and booked a helicopter tour to Chilkat Glacier, where we got to walk on the glacier. Where we landed, we walked on over 200 feet of glacial ice. The views from the helicopter were breathtaking and by far one of the best experiences Aaron and I have had on any of our vacations. When arriving back in Skagway, we learned how to pan for gold. That was exciting. Aaron enjoyed it more than me though...I thought it got kind of boring. We each found and got to keep about 8 tiny TINY flecks of real gold. I also kept one piece of fool's gold in the container so you can see the difference. Then it was back to our ship...and gladly now that we have a quiet stateroom--with a balcony!

Day Three-Hello Juneau!

We had a great third day on our cruise. We saw whales from the boat in the morning, and then we docked in Juneau in the afternoon. It was great to take a break from the ship and all the banging noises in our room. In Juneau, we took a shuttle to Mendenhall Glacier, and we took a sky tram to the top of a mountain for some snow and some views. It was a great day in Juneau.

Our First Full Sea Day

Our first sea day was adventurous. After a terrible night's sleep with a lot of banging sounds coming from our walls all night, we had breakfast, went to a dance class, took a nap (which we were awoken with the banging some more), had lunch, went swimming and sat in the hot tub, got all dressed up for formal night, had dinner, saw a show, and went to bed (after which we got another horrible night's sleep full of banging sounds).

Welcome Aboard!

Aaron's Graduation

Aaron's graduation last weekend went very well. I can not believe he has finished medical school and is a doctor! I will post pictures as soon as Aaron's Dad gets home from his vacation and has time to put them on his computer.

It stinks not owning a camera, but we bought another brand new one yesterday so that we can take some good pictures when we're on our cruise in Alaska. Tomorrow!! And I will try really hard not to lose it!!

I am so proud of Aaron. He has worked really hard the whole 5 years of our marriage to be able to accomplish his childhood dream. And now it is fulfilled. If only the hard work ever had to stop...here comes internship.

China Harbor....A Wickley Favorite

It's a Boy!

Two boys, wow I'm scared! It's nice we already have all the boy stuff and Gabriel and Baby2 will be such good friends. Here's a picture from the ultrasound. He was facing towards my back so you can't see his face, but you can see his spine really well.

His measurements were right on track with his original due date of October 11th.
