Big Boy Bed
Gabriel slept in his big boy bed for the first time last night. I think we waited so long to put him to bed he was so tired he didn't even try and get out of it when we left the room. I checked on him when Aaron and I went to bed and he was sleeping just the way we left him. I then went to check on him after Josh's first night feeding session and Gabriel was nowhere to be seen. NOT in bed, not on the floor in his room, not in his crib. I then checked the whole house since he can open doors now I was getting worried. I then went and looked in his room again and decided to look UNDER the bed...and there he was sleeping. ALL the way UNDER the bed. So I put him back in his big boy bed where he was sleeping the next feeding when I checked on him. He was reading there when I checked on him this morning at 7:45 AM. What a crazy night. I really hope he wants to sleep there every night so I can use the crib for Josh.

Thumb Sucker?
just a once thing. Gabriel never sucked his thumb. I wonder if his tooth hurt his thumb while he sucked on it. Hmm.....

Mommy Present
Aaron is such a sweetheart. He came up with the idea to send me and a friend to the salon as a new mommy present. My friend Ashleigh is also an intern spouse with 2 kids and she watched Gabriel for 3 days for us while I was in the hospital with Josh. We had an awesome girl's day out going to lunch and getting our hair done. It was nice to get away from the kids for 5 1/2 hours!Ashleigh makes awesome baby items, including reusable diapers that are great. I'm wearing one of her slings she made that you can see in the Roswell pictures below. Check out her website http://www.aroundthehousedesigns.com/

Joshua's 3 1/2 weeks old...
Ruidoso and Roswell
Last weekend we took a road trip to Ruidoso and Roswell in New Mexico. We got a tiny cabin for a few nights and enjoyed the beautiful mountains with tall pine trees in Ruidoso. I felt right at home and I think my mom did too. It even rained the morning that we left. On Saturday, we went to Roswell for a few hours to check out the alien thing. It was not that great of a place to visit but at least we can say we've been there. We ate at a great place called Farley's and I had an awesome hamburger that I would say compares to the goodness of Red Robin. The alien and UFO museum was the pits and not worth $5 pp to get in. The gift shops were a blast to shop in and we even got Gabriel an alien basketball. He loves that sport and he loves to say the word "Daketball".
