My Water Boy

Between pool time (about 1 hour a day) and bath time (about 30 minutes a day), Gabriel has a blast in the water. He cries when it's time to dry off on both occasions. Here's some cute pictures of him in the pool.

And, as requested, a side view of my 25 week pregnant belly.

Shawn came to visit!

Aaron's best friend and Best Man came to visit us for a few days this week. It was fun to have Shawn here. Aaron loved being able to spend time with him and we're glad he got to play with Gabriel a bit.

Before Shawn left on Saturday, the two decided to go rock climbing in some canyons by the Army hospital here. Here's a cool pix of Shawn climbing:

Well, I guess the rocks don't like us Wickley's, cause Aaron had a pretty bad fall. After 3 1/2 hours in the hospital yesterday, we found out that there were no broken bones (Thank you!) and that he should be able to start walking a little bit on it tomorrow. Hopefully he won't need any crutches before internship starts July 1st. The hospital was great and sent him home with some crutches, some ace bandages, and an ankle brace that, once the swelling goes down, he'll be able to wear in his Army boots. My poor husband!

Bath Time!

Gabriel is loving bath time right now. He probably takes 30-45 minute baths and every time I pick up the towel and ask, "Out?" he lays down onto his belly and pretends to swim. I guess that's a "No." Here's some cute pix of his bathtime.

Anniversary Dinner

So we went to Olive Garden for dinner on our anniversary. It's the second time we've gone to that restaurant in our five anniversaries. It was yummy. I'm just sorry that I got us lost on the way there and it took us three times as long to get there than it should have. Other than that, it was a great night and it was fun to have Shawn there to share it with us.

Five Year Anniversary

So today is our fifth anniversary! I can't believe how fast these years have flown! Here is a summary of what our lives have been like these last five years.

First Year:

Place of Residence: Laie, HI
Aaron finished up his Bachelor’s at BYUH while Jennilee worked full time for the BYUH Internal Audit Dept. During this year, Aaron applied for 8 medical schools, got accepted into 2 of them, and committed to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. We had pet fish.
Vacation Spots: Catalina Island, Ensenada, Washington D.C, New Jersey, New York City, Maui, Big Island.

Second Year:

Place of Residence: Gaithersburg, MD (DC Metro area)
Aaron started medical school at USUHS while Jennilee worked full time for the USUHS Contracting Dept. We got to attend the president’s inauguration in downtown DC and it was FREEZING! We also got our first pet hamster.
Vacation Spots: Jennilee to Paris, Baltimore, Connecticut, Boston.

Third Year:

Place of Residence: Gaithersburg, MD
Aaron attended his second year at USUHS while Jennilee worked full time in the Contracting Dept. Jennilee’s Dad passed away, Jennilee got pregnant with our first child, we got a pet dog.
Vacation Spots: Costa Rica, Hawaii, Niagara Falls, South Carolina.

Fourth Year:

Place of Residence: Tripler AMC, HI, San Antonio, TX, Greenville, SC, Tripler AMC, HI again, Silverdale, WA, and San Antonio, TX again.
Our first child was born: Gabriel Aaron Wickley. Aaron started his third year of medical schools which consisted of 6 week clinical rotations in different Army hospitals across the country, which is why we had so many different places of residence. We closed on our first house.
Vacation Spots: Do places of residence count?

Fifth Year:

Place of Residence: San Antonio, TX

Happy Father's Day!

Here's a cute video of Gabriel to give to Aaron for Father's Day. He is starting to talk now, finally!

El Paso-Outdoors

Gabriel loves to play in the backyard at our new place in El Paso. Here's a few cute pics. The video is not in slow motion. This is the first time Gabe bypassed the stairs and I happened to catch it on video. He likes to go down head first, but he doesn't like to touch the poky grass with his hands, so that kind of explains what he's doing.

Cruise Summary

Our cruise to Alaska was the best cruise we've ever been on. (Only our 2nd). The ports in Alaska were amazing and there were always beautiful sights to see, even on our sea days. I strongly recommend an Alaska cruise to anyone, I just don't recommend cruising on Princess. We were not impressed by their cruiseline. Maybe our next cruise will be our ten year anniversary, and we're thinking either the Carribean or possibly even a Mediterranean cruise. We'll see. But the Alaska cruise was AWESOME!
