I cannot believe how big Joshua has grown in 7 short months . You know your baby is getting big when they wear a bigger size. Josh is now in size 9 months. WOW! I pulled out his Preemie onesies that he wore for the first month of his life and compared it to the Large onesies he's in now and WHOA! What a big difference! I can't believe he grew out of those preemie onesies just 6 months ago. You all remember the bathtub picture right?
Gabriel has gone from being the silent big brother who didn't really care whether Joshua was around or not, to being an awesome big brother. Now that Joshua's a little more than just an off-limits lump to Gabriel, he's really starting to love to play with him. A few weeks ago, I caught these two moments when Gabriel didn't even know I was around. Playing peek-a-boo while I was running bath water and reading Joshua a book while I was getting ready for the day. I had to catch those two precious moments on camera. How Sweet!
We LOVE going to the Outlet Mall here. It's only 15 minutes away and they have tons of toys for Gabriel to play on. About every 20 yards or so there's MORE toys. Gabriel and his friend Canyon have a blast running from one set of toys to the next. Annette and I have worked out a great system we take turns going into the stores while the kids play. And of course the deals aren't bad either.
I gave Joshy a cracker today to see if he's about ready to self-feed. I love that stage because it's so easy to make them happy. He LOVED it! And of course whenever there's food involved Jewel's right there just in case!
Gabriel has this horrible habit of standing on his stool and climbing on the counter to get into the candy bowl in the cupboard. I always hear rummaging going on in the kitchen and I know right away to jump up from whatever it is I'm doing and put a stop to it. This time I heard rummaging and I jumped up, and he was just eating a banana. It made me laugh. I guess I always assume the worst. I had to get a picture of it!
Wow! I can't believe how fast time has gone. My baby boy is already 6 months old! He weighed 15 lbs. 12 oz. 25th %tile. Which is funny cause he weighed 12 lbs. 15 oz. at his 4 month appt. He more than tripled his birth weight in 6 months. He is now 26 inches tall 40th %tile.
I surprised Aaron on Saturday with dinner at a Korean restaurant and tickets to MONSTER JAM! My mom baby-sat while we went to dinner and then we went and got Gabriel and brought him to see the monster trucks. It was awesome!!! I recommend looking up to see if Monster Jam is coming to your town tickets are cheap. Aaron told me he's always wanted to go since he was a kid so I'm glad I found something fun for us to do for his 29th birthday. Happy Birthday, Aaron, I love you!
I love 80 degree weather in February. My mom and I have been walking outside ever since she got here a little over a week ago and last week we actually got sunburned! We walked 2 1/2 miles to the park and back that day so we were out in the sun for a while. I'm so proud of us for exercising! Here we are showing off our burn lines in February!
